There are several hollows on the Beaver near Hobbs that you'll love exploring and that's out of the way of the ski boat wakes. I think it's still a decent place but for those of us who've been going for years, the change is disappointing. When the usual locals quite showing up for breakfast, you'll know it's gone totally downhill.

I saw where you posted it on the Arkansas Whitewater Coalition page on Facebook and asked if posting gear for sale was appropriate. Clearly it was!

I'd say that's a record on how fast something sold.

One of our favorite sections of this river with its beautiful bluffs, smaller in scale than the Buffalo but just as magnificent. At low levels, there's not much correlation between this section and the gauge so far downstream. A visual at the put in is ideal.

Saw the young men at the Ash Street bridge today. Still missing. We kept our eyes open on the Frog. Probably stuck somewhere up on Clear Creek.

Dang, Terry. I hope it shows up. There should be plenty of eyes out on Clear Creek and the Frog today and this weekend, if it gets down that far. (Maybe the river-wide strainer Steve's group found will stop it!)
