SOLD: Perception Method $250

SOLD. In good shape. I bought this in April used with hopes of modifying it to fit me, but it's too small. It's suitable for somebody young or for small adults. The Method is somewhere between a playboat and a river runner. Outfitting is in good shape. Has added Salamander hip pads. I took it apart ...

Re: First Timer

Yesterday, with the Siloam gauge at 3.3 or so, we paddled from Chamber Springs Road to Fishers Ford on the Illinois River. Very nice, except for the long pools the final 2 miles. It's a good run for the middle of summer. The shuttle is short and you end up at the Kayak Park with its facilities at t...

If you're up near Pineville, the Big Sugar has been surprisingly flowing this summer.

Re: First Timer

There are several hollows on the Beaver near Hobbs that you'll love exploring and that's out of the way of the ski boat wakes. And you can hop from one hollow to the next staying close to shore to avoid the wakes. You can google and find a lot of info and directions. Here's a couple of articles: htt...

Re: buffalo 7/12

I think it's still a decent place but for those of us who've been going for years, the change is disappointing. When the usual locals quite showing up for breakfast, you'll know it's gone totally downhill.

I saw where you posted it on the Arkansas Whitewater Coalition page on Facebook and asked if posting gear for sale was appropriate. Clearly it was!

Re: Kings River ,Marble to Marshall Ford, 6\21

One of our favorite sections of this river with its beautiful bluffs, smaller in scale than the Buffalo but just as magnificent. At low levels, there's not much correlation between this section and the gauge so far downstream. A visual at the put in is ideal.

Saw the young men at the Ash Street bridge today. Still missing. We kept our eyes open on the Frog. Probably stuck somewhere up on Clear Creek.

Re: Lost on clear creek - stomper 80

Dang, Terry. I hope it shows up. There should be plenty of eyes out on Clear Creek and the Frog today and this weekend, if it gets down that far. (Maybe the river-wide strainer Steve's group found will stop it!)

Re: Help fixing a hole in plastic canoe

Great discussion. I'm going to suggest G/Flex epoxy to a friend with a similar issue. http://www.westsystem.com/ss/g-flex-epoxy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Still. . . I think you should patch the hole with some skin removed from the guy who borrowed your boat.

And kudos to the volunteers (including Mikki White, whose photos grace the article) who work with Debbie to create something we can be very proud of. Awesome national recognition!
