Re: TR Richland, Sunday

Tomcat, Hey man. I think I was just in the right place at the right time. I was hoping to see you out there on Sunday. I am hoping to to get out sometime later this week. We will see. John B, I love the tension you are in. The Arkansas scene here is really good and healthy. All of you are so helpful...

Re: Wavesport outfitting Question?

Home Depot and Walmart sell industrial strength Velcro which may work pretty well. This way if you need to change something later you maybe able to That or shim it up with foam. That can be sanded down later on.

Re: World Record Water Fall Smashed By a Jackson Kayak

When Tao set his record he put milk jugs in the nose of his boat full of water to make sure he did not pancake at the bottom. I wonder if this may have helped in the case of Pedros half loop?

Re: World Record Water Fall Smashed By a Jackson Kayak

Ok so I think the boat design played a very very small part in the whole matter.... I mean the guy needed a creek boat simply to provide enough room for his nuts. I am sure the extra volume helped to keep them afloat as well. Jackson kayaks do have an edge in this area with that nice soft happy seat...

Re: Richland, tomorrow? Any takers?

I am very interested in getting into my boat tomorrow. I live in Eureka springs so how long would it take for me to get there?

I am a recent Colorado transplant and looking to meet some local boaters as well.

Let me know if you guys will allow a hitchhiker.

Re: Thinking of heading to the Tot tomorrow...

Right on... when are people generally trying to get on the river there (do people put on early or later on?)... I will be driving from eureka springs, I think it will take me about 3.5 hours to get there. So do I need to shoot to be at the put in or take out at a certain time?

Thinking of heading to the Tot tomorrow...

I am new to Arkansas and need to get in my boat. Will it be hard to find people to hook up with and set up shuttle etc?

I live in Eureka Springs and could hook up with folks in fayetville to carpool down or just meet people somewhere near the Cossatot

Thanks,

Looking for something in the 3-IV- range...

Or park and play... It may not be realistic I thought I might check.

Re: Linville Gorge????

Ken, I ran this river like 12 years ago and it aint no joke. 17 miles long and pretty much 15 of it has significant class five. In the late 80s and early 90s most people did it as a overnight trip due to all of the scouting and portaging. On our trip we walked 5 rapids I think. I lost my paddle 2 mi...

Re: An Ocoee Summer

Dont get me wrong the Ocoee is super cool. I would have loved to have spent a summer there. But now that you have done that, try something else. The really cool thing about the Ark is you have so many other epic opportunities so close by. Just the Arkansas alone has way more boatable miles alone tha...
