Re: Adding Floatation - Recreational Kayak Advice
@Adam - did NOT realize it had that characteristic. Realize in some of the videos I reviewed it was a 'sealed' situation. Me bad. Maybe I was just trying to find a 'cheap' route too. Maybe I should just fill the hull with all those 'raft company orange PFDs' I find hooked in the trees on the Illinoi...

Adding Floatation - Recreational Kayak Advice
I've managed to collect a few Old Town 138 [13.8 foot] recreational kayaks that I've used for the last 9 years. I've thought many times about adding floatation, but trying to find bags that 'fit' and the thought of losing valuable 'gear' space has stopped me. I compensated by never filling them with...

Re: Fisher's Ford Road Siloam Access - Comment
I agree the simplest option is to just ask for "south only" access. It might help to post that route on some boards. Some of the folks I met last weekend ended up on the North side just because they couldn't find the south route, because many who have visited 'old Ford' never knew the othe...

Hope not. But if one of those 'nitwits' falls off a crane and gets my road shut down, I will be pissed! :myday"

Fisher's Ford Road Siloam Access - Comment
Took me a few days to decide how to say this. Didn't want to put it on the Facebook site. This last Saturday 3/15/2014 - there were a few (3) kayakers from Fay/Bent area on Siloam side. Not going to give any description, or details beyond that. They climbed on "equipment" most likely for p...

Posts are cemented in the ground. Kayaks are padded on the edge. No warping after 5 years.

Re: CREEK BOAT Wavesport Habitat 74 - with new outfitting
Sorry so long to reply. I wrongly assumed the site would notify me 'by default' when a response hit. I don't have any 'dry gear' yet, and don't have a clue so have realized I'll need to do more research.

Do you know what 'height' of paddler this boat is designed for? I am 6'2. Thanks.

Re: Versatile Kayak wanted
I have a Necky Sky that has a sealed rear area with hatch, perfect for live well. It is a tough little 9.5 rec boat. Feels small for me at 6'2. Also seems heavier/thicker than the newer ones. Very 'stable' boat - not 'tippy' at all.
