Little Maumelle River

I want to take my girls (10 and 14) on an out a short class I or flatwater canoe trip saturday. Out and back is an option. Thinking about Little Maumelle. Any suggested put ins or other options. Dragover seems too low as do other streams. The Ouachita below Remmel looks like it may be a go but I may...

Re: 2 questions

My very brief 2 cents worth on lower richland........ I love it. I've done both upper and lower more than a few times and I feel that Lower is under appreciated. Given a choice, and assuming the group can handle it the upper is without a doubt the better choice. However, if you have paddlers in the ...

Re: RENDEZVOUS PEOPLE!!

The real winner in this boat deal is all my buddies who I've borrowed boats and gear from over the many years. They know that whenever they need a tandem canoe they've got one and they don't ever have to store that big sucker! Crane, it's yours whenever you need it!! :D By the way I may need to borr...

Re: Cadron Friday 8/22

I was there Thursday and I noticed an odor right away. It smelled like dog poo. Kept thinking I stepped in it. Hmmm...there was an old dog hanging out there at the put in???

Sounds to me like a job for Counselor Crane! Being that he is a close personal friend, I expect I'm a shoe in to be a judge :D

I'm a big ole boy too. 6'3" 220.lbs (before breakfast!). I paddle both a Dagger Honcho which is a design that is about 4 or 5 years old I think and a Jackson Super Fun. I love them both. The Super Fun would be my boat of choice for 90% of my paddling except my size 13 feet get pretty cramped. I...
