Re: Hammocks
Buy a Jacks Plastic 4 inch paco pad and you will not need a cot or a hammock :poke: Which is good, because you won't be able to afford one by the time you're done paying for the Jack's. As okieboater knows I just dropped a chunk of change on outfitting my raft. I'm being bombarded daily wit...

Re: WTB squareback canoe
Always wanted to do the shad kill but never have gotten up there for it. My White River trips over the years have been confined to the stretch between Calico Rock and Mountain View. Been camping and fishing at Boswell Shoals for thirty years. I definitely need to see more of 'er.

Awesome. Let me know when you're ready to go trout fishing and I'll meet you at the HWY 65 exit. You did buy that to take me trout fishing, right?

That sounds like something I'd like to do. How does one begin the process? Did a cursory search online and didn't find anything.

Check out http://mountainbuzz.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if you haven't already. There's a wealth of info there on inflatable kayaks (think they call 'em duckies). I know of at least one ACCer who's also a buzzard. I'm not counting myself because I'm not an ACCer.....

Re: Pelican Dakota review
I picked up an Old Town Discovery 158 from Caddo Canoe a few years ago. The young man I dealt with (owner I assume) was exceptionally nice. By the time I got to him I had already been to see the outfitters on the Buffalo. Their sale boats were extremely rough and they were asking more than he was fo...

Re: Opinions on all terrain tires
I used to run Kumho Sport Kings on my Sierra Z71. I was always very pleased with them. Great tires and a little less spendy than the BFGs. Not knocking BFGs, also great tires, but man! I've also heard good things about the Nittos. I was about to buy some for my truck, but ended up buying a t...

Re: Rising water alert device for river camping
Cool idea but you would probably need to come up with some sort of waterproofing of it. Usually when you get a river rise it has been raining and not sure how well that thing wold hold up sitting out in the rain all night. Shouldn't be too difficult since the sensor isn't integrated into the unit. ...

Nice. Never understood people who want to sell something but remain incommunicado. Happens all the time on CL. Comes with the territory I guess.potterspoint434 wrote:Don`t tell anyone , I want to buy them but they won`t answer their email

FYI. Ran across this on Craig's. Not mine, but that's a good price if someone can use it. Be happy to go take a peek for out of towners if asked.

Re: Roof rack mounts
Fortunately, at least in my case, the fairing eliminated most of the wind noise. It would howl inside the canoe if I didn't get it positioned just right though.

No sir. Thanks for the offer, but I only failed to resist this one because of the square stern. Did you stick 'er on CL?

Re: Roof rack mounts
Oh yeah, one more thing. You'll appreciate the fact that the Q Towers have a minimal impact on the roof of your car, which is nice when swapping time comes around. Also, get the locking cores in case someone decides they need the rack worse than you do. That is all.
