no, not that I',m aware of. I moved from Springfield 4 years ago, They do have OMP up there. Ozark Mountain Paddlers, they use to meet at the conservation center. Don't know how active the club still is....pam

hi guys, just got back from the ozark society float trip(its saturday) and I'm bushed. in the last eight days i have paddled over 100 miles. Just wanted to let you know I enjoyed paddling with both of your families, Chris you have a very special young lady, and Cliff your boys are very well behaved....

Michael, when are you planning to float? Right now its questionable on the upper river. When the water is running, Kyles to Hasty is not too many miles for two days. Margaret Bartell(Stan) and I did a 24 mile float on the Buffalo Wednesday and Thursday. We put in at Kyles at 10 am Wednesday and floated 14 miles. The water at the Ponca Gage was right at 3 feet. I have an Intrepid 17, bought it in 93. When I bought it, my boys were 7 and 10 and we did alot of overnight river trips. It is a very stable boat, hard to flip, and will carry alot of gear.
