Re: Bayou Chapter of ACC?

I second the crawfish proposal. It would not be a proper Bayou Chapter without some true Bayou food. Let's start it off right.

By the way, I'll help in any way that I can- whatever anyone needs me to do.

Re: Bayou Chapter of ACC?

I know three paddlers in Shreveport who'd be willing to join, including myself.

Food for Thought

I was just surfing the web and came up with an idea that can only benefit the ACC and this message board and would only take a few seconds,. I think that adding an ACC group to facebook could seriously get paddling and safety information across to college and high school students. After talking to l...

Re: Tot Gauge

I'm up for it, just send me an email with some info (mgoodwin@centenary.edu) or call (272-3293). Sounds like a good time to me.

Re: Tot Gauge

I don't know- we may have. I go up to the Tot quite a bit- the reason I couldn't help but comment on the gauge is that it has been flatlined for two days now. Not very good to predict water levels. I'd be up for a shuttle up to AR whenever you want to go run something. My name is Micah Goodwin- cell...

Re: Tot Gauge

Back to original topic- how can I get an estimate on the tot level? The either we've had a monsoon which quickly disappeared, or the gauge is just plain wrong. Any ideas?

Re: The Tots closing in on Four ft.

I'm heading up there tonight to try to start early tomorrow and run the Tot all day (maybe baker if I can find someone who's done it before AND if it gets up). I'm hoping for a 10AM run tomorrow. Anybody up for it?

Thursday Paddling

It's going to be dumping near the 'Tot all week till blue skies on thursday. Would anyone be up for an early afternoon run (and maybe a few repeating runs) down the tot, Baker, or Little Mo' on Thursday? I haven't paddled in way too long, and school's overrated anyway.

Friday paddling

After looking at the weather report, I'm hoping that the 'Tot will get enough water to make a run friday. If it gets high enough, I'd love to run Baker, but only if I'm with someone who's run it before. Dad and brother have work, so i'm soloing this trip and hoping someone in the area will consider ...

A Fast Fast Run

Ran the Middle section of the Cossatot yesterday in 25 minutes (I think the gauge was over 6). Zigzag had no zig (the overhanging branch was underwater), and the Esses packed a pretty big punch. Not to mention that Eye-Opener was a beast. We didn't venture down any further because there were only tw...
