German Whitewater- need some info

Ok guys, this might be a long shot. I'll be in Germany for three weeks for an independant school study, and I'm looking to paddling some III/IV when I'm there (because who could resist paddling on a different continent?). The problem is- my german is nonexistant. So finding whitewater via the intern...

Re: WTB throw rope/bag, pin gear, rescue knife, etc

Don't buy a 50 foot throw rope. The price is right but it's too short. Need 75 or more realistically.

Re: So how do I get into this awesome sport?

Just some background information: Born and raised a surfer in CA, now a meteorologist in Arkansas. Love adrenaline, love anything to do with water and the outdoors. I have been interested in getting into this for a while and it looks like now is the time. So how do I start? What kayak is a good sta...

M-wave

Where exactly is the m-wave in colorado located? I've heard it's near montrose, but have no idea on what river/where it is. Also, if anyone has a gauge for this, I'd like to see it. Thanks

Re: What is the BEST hiking trail in Southern Ark?

I was trying to get some personal preferances about certain trails. Online tour book stuff just doesn't do it for me like opinions do.

What is the BEST hiking trail in Southern Ark?

I only have elementary knowledge so far, but i'm a fan of Athens Big Fork in Albert Pike. I'd like to know of a few other suggestions for hikes- could be day or overnight, I'm just looking for extreme gradiant with great views or anything else cool.

Harlan- I'm pretty sure is only class 6 infection. Class 7 infection requires growing a third arm.

Need help identifying this- what is it and location

I was watching an advert for the LL biscuit, and came upon this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzGmfNFWI9I&feature=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Notice the feature 26 second in. It's some kind of moveable-play-wave-dock (-bear-pig). What's unique is that it sho...

Re: Strainer Near Miss

Ha, I didn't mean to come off so harsh in my first message, I was super tired. The best thing I can say is to know your skill level- if you're a class II (III) boater, then maybe boating class II (III) by yourself is a bad idea. I realize that some people do enjoy soloing much more than paddling in ...
