btw, at Hwy 65 there were no trash cans. We asked the ranger who happened to be there where we might find some and he offered to take it to Tyler Bend for us. VERY nice guy, didn't catch his name.

thanks, will make note of the info for next time. we ended up doing Mt Hersey to Hwy 65. learned a lot about clouds and then had great weather and water.

the White Rock>Shores lake loop might work. Its not that many miles but has obvious overlooks at the top. Could even get a cabin at White Rock. Devils canyon is nearby for more overlooks and is close to Tulsa as your going to get in the Ozark NF

boat race from Byrds to TB (about 8 miles). plastic boats, several categories canoe, kayak, solo, tandem etc.
