Re: Large Recretec Dry Box
Bump. If we get the forecast rain I'll most likely have the box at WW School next weekend.

Re: Large Recretec Dry Box
What size is your boat? The interior of my 14' Trib is 42" wide in the flat section and of course tapers in a few inches toward the back where the box goes. It's tight but does fit.

Re: Large Recretec Dry Box
Pretty sure it's 16"x14"x42". I can measure if you'd like but that's certainly within a couple inches.

Large Recretec Dry Box
I have a large Recretec dry box with seat I'd like to sell or possibly trade. This one sells for $750 brand new. I've decided to replace it with an additional cooler. The box is in near perfect condition. The seat vinyl had a crack when I took delivery. It's gotten no worse and the seat is 100% func...

Re: Gage at Ponca
You're getting the picture. Generally speaking the upper drops almost as quickly as it rises, at least down to a point. The good news is once it gets back down to ~5', which is actually a really good level, it stabilizes for a few days. You are also correct that the middle and lower sections hold mu...

Re: Gage at Ponca
Hi again! Not entirely sure I understand the question. You've established your minimum flow at 3' which is reasonable, so I guess if it's below that when you want to go you'll need to make alternate plans. But, if memory serves you also said you could go any time, so I think your best bet is to be r...

Re: ACC & Facebook
Henry, a message board conversation with Jim Krueger years ago is the reason I'm a club member. Since then I've had many enjoyable and informative exchanges with many members including Dave Reid(okieboater). It truly makes me sad to see how little traffic the message board gets now, but that's just ...

Re: Planning first overnighter to the Buffalo
Oh, an ArkLaTexer! Excellent! I'd probably just stop in Little Rock for the barley pop then. Local and near local (NWA) brews are outstanding. Anything from Core, Rebel Kettle, Flyway or Lost Forty will treat you right. Plenty of other good options too, and you are correct about needing cans but tha...

Re: Planning first overnighter to the Buffalo
Thanks for the welcome to ACC, and response to my plan. Now I have more questions. Do you tie a Clouser on the 5 wt for smallies? I suspect they would eat a wooly bugger also. Do I need to bring my hopped and dry hopped water with me or is there a watering hole between Little Rock and Ponca to load...

Re: Possible new purchase advice please
It's true Royalex is extinct, but its replacement, T-Formex, is in production and there are boats made from it on the water now. That should deter would be gougers but many of said gougers may not have gotten the message yet. I wouldn't call the seller a gouger necessarily, but $875 for an eighteen ...

Re: Planning first overnighter to the Buffalo
Welcome. Your plan is a good one. As for your specific questions: I'd say anything above three feet is good to go. You'd be able to scrape down and still have a good time probably as low as 2.5 provided you're not too heavily loaded. Being able to go during the week is a big advantage as that's by f...

Re: Semi New NWA
Welcome! Have you joined the NW chapter of the canoe club? If not, definitely start there. http://arkansascanoeclub.com/page-506384 They're a great group to be around and will definitely point you in the direction you want to go. They also have monthly (I think) recreational floats that I bel...
