I took a rocket box to a lock smith in Fort Smith for a similar situation only for her to discover one of my other Yakima keys fit the lock. So always try your other keys or even other folks keys.

I have put Kevlar skid plates on my two canoes and have leftover supplies. I bought the gallon can of West Systems epoxy and the 1/3 gallon can of the slow hardener.
