A big hurrah for these numbers. Thanks a bunch Debbie for working on all those trails, they are going to be worth their weight in gold for generations to come.

Re: Yeti coolers: worth the $ or hype?
Yesterday I saw a Coleman steel banded cooler at wally world for $100, steel construction, looked like decent insulation, and had a cam style latch that looked pretty solid. No question about it holding up to a little abuse. The big issue was for some reason, they decided to paint it black. Might be...

Wow, that water vs. no water idea sure has opened a can of worms. I second the vote on a real world study. Any volunteers?

Re: Little Mo Thurs or Fri
There is a decent chance I may be off on thursday, and I could really go for a Lil Mo run. The drive is my kryptonite, though.

Re: Yeti coolers: worth the $ or hype?
Another little piece of advice besides packing a sleeping pad in or covering the cooler with another insulator such as a tarp or keeping it shaded is don't drain the water. The 33* water from melted ice is still a great thermal mass, and can still absorb a lot of BTUs before it hits room temp. Often...

Caddo 7-8-2013?
Hello all, my family has decided that they want to float the Caddo tomorrow. I haven't ever floated it, and have a few questions regarding the put in and take out. What's the usual recommended stretch that gets floated? I've been to Glenwood a few times, but never on the Caddo. Also, are there any i...

I may be interested in soloing this one as well. I don't think I can get away on Friday, though. Still gotta do some pondering.

Hey, I know that lady in that picture. Seems like I've seen her around before. Can't seem to recall any details, though
Anyway, I'll be working friday, so I can't make it. Shame it couldn't be on saturday. Water levels should be good, though.

A couple of my favorite dont's from a childhood spent on the water: Fireworks and plastic watercraft don't mix well. In the event of unintended pyrotechnics, chewing gum works surprisingly well as a temporary fix for any small holes that may have burned through the boat. If you are paddling a large ...

Re: Trek of Honor, 2013, Canoe Ponca to New Orleans
I know I'll probably be up for a Buffalo float in April. Should be interesting to join in on. The only issue I can think of is that there may be low water or way too much water. Seems like recent Aprils have brought more floods than showers.
