Re: PADDLING SMALL CREEKS TODAY 4/1/13 NEAR HOT SPRINGS VILL

We had great runs on two creeks at good levels, and lots of good video too. 3 days in a row for me returning to paddling after surgery and moving. But hopefully no one will call tomorrow to go anywhere, lol.

Hot Springs Village boating

Mill creek is running here in the Village, about a mile of class 1-11 with some tight turns and wood. Anybody interested holler at me. Will be gone later today, and after this week/yesterday it's all I can do.

Re: Webshots troubles

David, mine are all backed up to. But I wanted to have a folder that just had the pictures/videos I was sharing online. Saves me from looking thru all those landscapes again to find the best ones. Here's what I've found out so far (but still reading): Flicker: Basic> Free. 300MB worth of p...

Re: New Go Pro Cam

Choices, for non-professionals: About May, I finally jumped ship from years of using the Pentax W series (640x480) to a Panasonic TS-4 (1280x720 or 1920x1080), after I upgraded my PC from 586 to an I-7 based system with a BluRay burner. So now, instead of waiting hours for a 60 min basic DVD to comp...

Re: Webshots troubles

Cowper, if you reply by the deadline, they'll zip all your pictures into one (or two) files, and all your videos into separate "flv" files for downloading. But neither the pics or videos are grouped into albums, and the videos by any name you'll recognize, very long and cryptic titles, dow...

Webshots troubles

Months ago, after years of posting videos/pics, I started having trouble uploading typical movies to Webshots. The movie clips were well within the spec parameters, and no different than the ones I'd uploaded for years. As a paying member, like once before, I asked for tech help to solve the problem...

Re: Hole Saw FAIL

Heather, if the whole saw blade and drill just stops or bogs down, and nothing but motor hum is heard, then sounds like you may be a little speed timid, and it just needs reving up going in. If there's a clicking sound, then the drill's slip chuck clutch (if equipped) needs moving up on the setting ...

Heather, I have several irons you could borrow. With two 2 mins. instruction time, you'd be a pro for this job. Or we could do it right here in no time.

Re: Holiday Weekend Policy at Riverside Resort

Jim/Cowper, I believe putting in at the the Bayou is free, and I know of no shortcut. To me, it is a valid option, overall still saving time if you want to catchup to the action, and don't mind the additional shuttle time. Or, if you're temporaily cripple, it'll save some valuable trolling motor bat...

Holiday Weekend Policy at Riverside Resort

I just talked to the head man at RIverside Resort. Sometimes arriving after a 3 hour drive, we put in at Riverside Resort to cut off about 2 miles of mostly flatwater on the Spring. Well, there's a new polilcy for holiday weekends there. I ran into it on Memorial Day weekend, but have just now verif...

Re: Shoulder surgery, not so bad

Hey summerbee, thanks. Actually the doc came in, saw I was not in the sling, heard I was mowing & weedeating the yard, so he threw the rehab info in the trash, saying lookslike I won't need any, lol.
