Re: The value of Static Stretching (?)

Oh I forgot about yoga! I did the "Yoga for Paddlers" video for a while and I could actually tell a huge difference. I was able to do C-to-C rolls, which is not normally the case. I continued to do my favorite moves for quite some time as a warmup for paddling, but it just kinda faded away...

Re: The value of Static Stretching (?)

Personally, I figure most everything in paddling is about rotation, so I just get in my boat and rotate in both directions and grab onto my stern to stretch. Then I'll do a little back paddling to warmup my shoulders and off I go!

Re: LITTLE MISSOURI VIDEO FROM AUGUST 2012

Wow! Nice little run...lots of surf! I wouldn't mind coming up and checking it out some time. I'd love to see us get a release someplace like this or the Lower Cossatot for Canoe School each year.

Re: everytrail report: Rio Vista river park. San Marcos, TX

Yeah definitely...it was fun hanging with y'all out east! That wave will definitely surf a long boat too. I forgot that I brought my XP10 out there to try it out before the Canyon. People were pretty surprised by how well it surfed. I had to lift an edge to get the bow off the bottom more than once ...

We've started choosing vacation for next year and I want to make sure I'm off. Do we have a tentative date set yet?

Re: Scouted: Rio Vista river park. San Marcos, TX

So how was T'giving at Rio Vista? Is it worth a trip down there from AR? If so, I may have to check it out around Xmax. Worth the short eight-hour trip (from Springdale) for sure. My only problem, I am not experienced enough to ride a wave that size... The scenery, elephant ears, Cypress and cedar ...

Seattle! There's whitewater year round and you're sitting in the middle of Oregon, Idaho, and BC.

I had the whole place to myself Saturday night. It's hard to beat this time of year! Watch out for the two barely submerged rocks on the river right eddy line. I spent some quality time getting up close and personal with them! :hammer2:

Contour Roam 2

The new one is 60fps at 720p. I'm thinking this is going to be on my Christmas list! Anyone used one and if so, how did you mount it? I see they have a helmet mount and tether in the accessories. Recommended?

Re: Lifeproof Cases for Iphone

I'm going to have to get something soon. I slipped in the Cossatot recently with both my and my wif'es phones in my pockets! They were both in otter boxes, so they didn't get too wet. I still ended up buying a bag of rice back in Wickes for mine though...the sound had stopped working. lol I often ca...
