From your trusty ACC Communications officer.... There is a last Minute opportunity that you might want to pursue. There are several openings in a two day Wilderness First Aid course that will be held this coming Friday and Sunday at the White Rock Montessori school in Dallas Texas. It is a two day c...

Paddle Battle at the Bay
ACC members, check this out. Paddle Battle at the Bay. Saturday, September 26th Fairfield Bay Marina on Greers Ferry Lake. I'm thinking ACC members could rule this event. It's the weekend AFTER the ACC Rendezvous event by the way.

Re: Why this should be a "Lost" Forum, not "Lost and Found"
I'm the poster child for Sharpie's. After losing a kayak during a flood on the east fork of the little Buffalo 15 months ago my boat was found and returned to me last week I keep a sharpie with me pretty much all the time. If you need it hit me up! :)

I'm the poster child for Sharpie's. After losing a kayak during a flood on the east fork of the little Buffalo 15 months ago my boat was found and returned to me last week. Had I not put my name and number in it, it would have been relocated to central Missouri right now. I keep a sharpie with me pr...

Re: Input requested: Family floats article
It's easy to say "not the Buffalo" but I'd say why not the Buffalo? Is there a more family friendly float stream in the state? Certainly not the Spring. At least not on a Saturday during the summer! I have found the Buffalo to be the one stream that is like coming home. I like many Arkansa...

Re: Input requested: Family floats article
By the way. I'd love to see a discussion on ways we can effectively encourage people to camp, paddle, hike, bike, and explore the outdoors of Arkansas more. I think it is safe to say that people just don't participate in adventure outdoor activities like they once did. I camped on Big Piney Creek ov...

Re: Little Rock information
Cowper speaks da truth on suggested outdoor adventures. I would add Flatside Wilderness Area and specifically the very short hike up to Flatside Pinnacle. Someone else will have to provide GPS coordinates or directions. It is I think it is one of the best kept secrets in Central Arkansas.
