Re: Salado Creek Gauge

From the Memphis crew, we contacted the USGS a while back and this was the response we got. > Sent: Sunday, September 17, 2006 > His voicemail says "this is Bubba" and he did return my call today. The > annual maintenance fee is, are you ready?, $15,000!!!! > > Bubba suggested to get a gov...

Re: Want to add longer crossbars to my Matrix

You could always build some extenders that you can slide out of your bars when needed. Helped a friend put some on his little Kia years ago. Got pipes and end caps from HomeDepot of proper length Put the new pipes in the bars and drilled holes through both. Used some large clip pins to hold the bars...

Re: Rockport

They are still dumping TOO MUCH water due to the lake being way too high. They are hoping by next weekend it will be at the "normal" summer releases. You can always sign up for the email list or check this link to find out what the release schedule is. http://www.entergy.com/operations_inf...

Re: salado ?

Tom Kaylor who used to live here in Memphis put the info on AW. In his notes he said that 10.5 stones was when it started getting boney. I have run it as high as 7.5 stones and it was pretty washed out. Here is a post I found from Tom. http://memphiswhitewater.com/forum/index.php/topic,540.0.html&qu...

Re: Good boat for skinny 6'3 guy?

I'm 6'3, 185 and have a size 14 foot.

I paddle a Pyranha 420 m/l and I fit in it great. Most comfortable boat I have had.
