Re: Bayou de View Tour

Hey, check with the Arkansas water trails partnership https://arkansaswatertrails.com/

I know the folks who run it are very familiar with bayou de view and if they can't take you on a tour they can probably get you in touch with someone who can.

The school of river paddling is held every year in June https://arkansascanoeclub.com/School-of-River-Paddling
Your local chapter may have smaller events planned sooner though.

Re: Dagger kayak 9’ for sale SOLD

I think jvfayard may have been asking about the kind of thigh brace that's meant to allow you to lock your thigh/knee into the kayak in order to roll it. If that's the case then no, the Zydeco does not have those.

Re: Intro and Opinions Requested...

This is a common question on the forum. The major downside to planning a trip to the Buffalo compared to BWCA is that the water levels are entirely unpredictable more than a couple weeks in advance due to it being entirely dependent rain. You'll typically have the most options in the spring (March-...

Re: American Whitewater

Looks like we're on there to me, I looked into it earlier this week when someone asked about ACA discounts that the ACA no longer offers but we still had listed on our site.

That's a lot of river to check, could you drop a pin on a map where you lost it? It would greatly help in locating it.

@Bad Andy I usually see groups getting there between 9 and 11, and typically meeting at the campground

@224 and it's going to stay that way if the active users keep telling people to go away.

Re: Lost - Buffalo Canoe - Caddo River

Could you provide more specifics to where you had to leave it? It would help to know where it is so as much time as possible can be spent on the recovery as opposed to searching for it since that's 8 miles of river to search.

Re: Upper Little Missouri (Albert Pike to Hwy 84

American Whitewater lists that section as being class II-III+(IV) which means it is mostly class two to three plus with a class four rapid in there somewhere. I wouldn't recommend doing class 3+ or 4 in a sit on top unless it's one you can roll and you've got a reliable swift water roll since swims ...

Re: Alum Fork from Lake Winona

Sorry, I don't know about the parking. When we went to walk in someone had gotten permission for us to use a private access point at 34.773083, -92.876697 It looked like some sort of historic site that might get rented out for events but I'm not able to find any info about the place online now.
