Looking for a Tandem Whitewater Canoe

Like the title states, since one of my boys has expressed interest, I'm starting to look for a tandem whitewater boat. If you have one you might be willing to part with let me know. Thanks,

Re: Current River vs Eleven Point

Yeah, the river has changed, some good, like the Camp spot has all new sand and a new layer of sticks for firewood, but some of the other popular gravel bars for camping are completely gone. And we had to unload the raft and line it through one nasty spot. Still a great trip and I would do it again ...

Re: Current River vs Eleven Point

Just did Greer to Riverton last weekend feb 20-21 be mind full of the severe flood at the end of last year has made some changes, mostly in large trees down everywhere, gravel bars missing or moved and one must portage river wide tree strainer about a mile below Witten access. And Halls Bay has had ...

So any of you other Open Boaters headed east in March for Louie fest? I've got the urge but not sure yet if I can move enough mountains to make it happen. Any thought or advice from those that have been?

Re: WHAT'D YA PADDLE IN 2015

Yeah KRU I get that about the Kings, not sure what happened there , even working and living in the watershed I never got onto the Kings proper. Guess just to busy chasing the rain around the area. Still have a pretty good list, Osage Creek ,Carroll county Buffalo, from Boxley to Pruitt in several di...

We have gone down there three times to run Big Eddy to Campbels and have done the upper instead, so I'm kinda wanting to do that section, but am open to whatever.

Looking to get out on a river on Friday Jan 1 , thinking of Rafting Big Piney or Mulberry, will probably be a couple Yakkers along too. By no means are we hair boaters , just wanting to get out. Any suggestions? Any other Rafters going out?

Re: Upper Kings

So what gage do we watch for this run? The usgs kings at Grandview Bridge can be really frustrating for even trying to do a float around Marble/Rockhouse. I think the Turner bend gage is closer to where the rain has to fall to juice this one up. Does anybody have any info ? Like low water crossings ...

Re: New Member Questions

Check out the Spring River for year round dependability, but as for the planning....most of us usually just load up the night before with a few favorite run options in mind, and then check gages and such before hitting the road. Also check into Tom Kennons book, A canoeing and kayaking guide to the ...
