Julie and I hit the park last night and at 4.2 I'd say the waves are difficult to catch in a short boat. We got some rides but you really need to blast through the shoulders to have good speed in your favor. I'm looking forward to giving it a shot a little lower to see if we can get a little better ...

Headed up there today for the first time, looks like AW has it at 4.29 mid day.... we'll see what its like just after work. Hoping to meet some other paddlers up there, this will be our first on the water since we moved to AR 3 weeks ago! We're excited for sure and can't wait to see the park and sur...

Very interesting thus far, so a couple of votes for LR area and some Southwest Cossatot area. I do love the Jasper area and have some very fond memories of the Buffalo. Actually got engaged on that river and also learned that we need kayaks and cannot canoe well together... but that was ages ago. Wh...

So someone asked me if I were to live in Arkansas and wanted to optimize my loaction for outdoor recretation in the form of paddling and mountain biking... where would I choose to live? Also need to consider hiking and rock climbing... I thought of no better place to drop this question than back on ...
