I would also like to know if anyone has pfd suggestions for open boaters. I've been asked this question by several beginners for up to class II use. I understand fit/comfort play a big role but any suggestions on a particular pfd that works for you would be appreciated.

I have the same issue. Head Trip makes a few models that are larger than both the Sweet and Shred Ready (according to the measurements listed anyway). That was one of the reasons I went with Head Trip.
