Re: Looking for Sit on top Kayak
I've got a Liquid Logic Coupe that paddles real nice. It's a cross-over in case you'd ever want to get on class II (maybe III) too.

Anyone up for a pre-Whitewater Paddling School float?
I'm thinking of taking the whole day off on 4/1 to get to Turner Bend early. Is there anyone else thinking the same to do a short float Friday before class? I'm not for sure, but . . . ?

Steve, thanks much. Looking forward to it.
Rob, wish I could join you this afternoon at the Ford. Gotta work though. Hopefully next time.

White Water School 2015 & and Other Events
Does anyone know when the upcoming white water school is (and anything else I shouldn't miss) this Spring? I have to plan out a work schedule and want to make sure that I fit in "the important stuff."
Thanks!
RobB
Thanks!

Re: 2-day L-4 SWR at SSKP NOV 1st & 2nd
Well said Cory. I'll add my kudos to Steve and RobM for a job very well done. And thanks to Stephen for being there ready to generously lend some gear I needed, adding safety, and being an extra victim to practice saving. I really didn't know what to expect from the course, but can honestly s...

Re: Vote No on Ballot Issue One!
At first I thought Issue Number 1 was a good idea. In general, "we the people" loose freedom when authority is delegated to agencies (non-elected officials) who have the power to regulate where we can and cannot go, what we can and cannot eat, what we can and cannot do in our businesses, e...

Re: Cold Weather Kayaking Gear - Sound off!
Thanks for the offer hilbili. I already ordered a black rock for one son, and the freefall for me and my other son. Found a brand new kokotat dry top for $40 on Craigslist! I found two other dry tops which should work for a while.

Re: Cold Weather Kayaking Gear - Sound off!
Do you have any inexpensive recommendations on inexpensive under Layers? That is where to get. I know no Cotten. What's cheap but effective ( for time being)? Synthetic long underwear? Regular Fleece top? Been thinking seriously of the SWR, and was debating whether to have the boys join me. Honestly...

Re: Cold Weather Kayaking Gear - Sound off!
Thanks Rob. I ended up getting a dry top and dry pants for all of us. We'll just have to get by until we can pick up better gear over time. I see farmer johns come up for sale used more than dry suits, so will probably add those to our collection as available. At least we won't be completely left in...

Re: Cold Weather Kayaking Gear - Sound off!
Thanks Trent. Your order of items is about what I was thinking too. The dry top with dry pants looks to be most affordable for me at this moment. So, I was wondering about the order of layers around the waist with your pants, top and skirt? Also, why is Kokotat best. What about any of the many others?

Cold Weather Kayaking Gear - Sound off!
I'm a newbie and need your input for WW kayaking clothing. As far as I can tell, there are LOTS of different options/combinations. The full dry suit seems the best for the coldest water and weather, but also the most expensive. (Everything I get is times 3 for me and my sons.) So, what do you all us...

Re: Roll Practice NW Arkansas
Thanks Rob. After I sent that post I remembered that my wife is have surgery on Wednesday, so may not make it Thursday after all. Rule number one: Take care of your woman. But hope to be out there the next Thursday anyway. I'll let you know if I still need to borrow a boat by then. I really ...

Re: FS - Jackon SuperHero - $300
I will ask around. All I see there, usually, are playboats though. I'm sure we'll end up with playboats sooner or later, since we're 15 minutes from the WW Park, but right now want to get us roll'en and going on some trips with the Club. I got my son a Superhero 2013 (good deal used), and my younges...
