Staggs New Years Eve Party

Well folks, it looks like we will not be having the New Years Eve party at the Staggs house this year. I’m still working down here near New Orleans and it looks like I'll be here through the holidays. This working for a living sucks. :(

Re: New Years Eve Party (open invite; Near Dover)

Most of the floor space in the house is claimed in advance. We do have lots of tent camping spots in the couple three acres behind the house. You WILL want to be set up as far from, and up wind of, the fire as you can get.

Re: gauge height and cfs

Did a quick search on Big Sugar Creek and found this http://southwestpaddler.com/docs/elkmo4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; looking at some of the pictures you will see a couple of low water bridges that I suspect could form very sticky hydraulics at higher water level...

No party this year

Couldn't get our stuff all in one sock this year. Too much work and too much other stuff going on to get ready. Will try to do better next year.

Keep an eye out for trees across the creek. Don't run the channels blind in that section.

Re: Raw sewage leaking into Buffalo River

I really don’t know much about the regulations for disposal of grey water but I suspect the same formula for the length/number of lateral lines as determined by “perc test” for a septic system is being used for gray water disposal. I don’t see the two being equal in the potential harm to the environ...
