Thanks RR,

We would put ourselves in the intermediate class. I have used kayaks in the ocean in Mexico. I have spent a lot of time in canoes. We are definitely looking at river runners. I am 6 ft. My gal IS 5.9 THANKS AGAIN!!! :kayak:

In the very near future, one or two weeks away, my girlfriend and I will load up and go. We will send advance notice to Bronco Girl and anyone else who wants to run. I guess I will leave my safety helment with the deer antlers at home. :yahoo:

What will be the most fun river run after Isaac passes thru

I can't wait to head to Arkansas after Hurricaine Isaac passes through. There should be some good canoeing opportunities. Any suggestions on the best rivers to run? :kayak: :kayak: :kayak:

My only experience fly fishing and canoeing so far has been on Champion Lake. I love how quickly bass will hit a fly. I have fished the Buffalo while Canoeing, but I used a spinning rig. I figgered there had to be a canoe club in Shreveport. I shudda looked on line sooner. I have a 17 ' pelican. It's a tad heavy, but a sound boat.
