Im looking for advice on a new or used canoe for lake paddling and fishing with me and 1-2 kids. I will spend up to $500. Any one familiar with the Mad River passage 14' canoe?

I've never floated the little missouri, where are the best places to put in and take out?

Is it possible to put in at malvern on the ouachita river and float to arkadelphia, and if possible about how long would it take?
