Re: wenonah solo canoe advice

Thanks, everyone. I went ahead and bought it. Still don't know anything about it, but it looks solid and will allow me to canoe with my dogs, so I'll be happy with it I'm sure. It's pretty long, so we will see how it works on the river when I find time to get back on one.

wenonah solo canoe advice

I've come across a wenonah solo canoe .I'm told it's in great shape, no repairs but it'd older. Anyone have a ballpark value they'd be willing to pay? Tried looking online and can't find much .

Alumunimum Boat Repair - how??

Can anyone tell me how to repair a hole an alumunimum boat? We have 3 that are in need of repair from one exetent or another. I'm interested in "do-it-yourself" if it is really easy. If it isn't, is there any place that would do the repairs for us? By "us", I mean Girl Scouts. Wh...

Re: Hiking Richland

There are some really cool fossils in the rocks if you hike straight up the creek from the campground. Go past 3 fairly large pools of water (one where the left side is clif) to where you find the rockbed. Little creature fossils everywhere! Take some water shoes and enjoy.

Re: Hiking Richland

I don't fish, but there are pools over my head in quite a few areas. Not sure if the big fish are making it down, though because its pretty shallow running over bedrock not far north of the campground.

Don't be tempted to park at the campground behind the gate. They are ticketing...

Boyfriend and I, along with two others are planning a trip up that way, too. Anyone know of a place that might still have kayaks avilable? Boyfriend and I have our own, but we need two for the other couple coming with us.

Re: Drowning on the Mulberry

Referring back to the "sensory" commit. You are correct. Many untrained people would not recognize a drowning victim. I'm a LG trainer, and it's something we try to really impress on the kids we train - drowning doesn't look like what you see on TV. There is hardly ever violent splashing a...

Re: West Fork Creek Cleanup May 15th - Special Request for ACC

I'll consider helping out. Don't know the areas - I assume it's calm moving water? Never done a pick-up in my kayak, but I just might give it a shot. :)
