Re: Novacraft Ocoee paddler weight range
Thanks for the opinions guys, maybe Ill wait till something a little larger comes along. Any suggestions for a good boat for a guy my size to learn play boating skills that I won't outgrow too fast?

Novacraft Ocoee paddler weight range
Looking at a Novacraft Ocoee, I'm worried that I might exceed the optimal weight range for this boat at 240. I'm not new to the sport but I'm new to this type of canoe. I would appreciate any advice I could get before I drop the money on this.
Thanks,
Jerry Cookson

Floatation bag installation question
Just acquired a Nova Craft Supernova and I want to install flotation bags in it. Been looking at online how to videos and most of them show drilling holes in the hull. I've also found kits with small D-rings that are riveted into the gunwales. So, is one method better? I really don't mind drilling t...

Re: Crossover Kayaks...? Opinions?
Well maybe a damp hatch, it certainly ships less water than the Axis. Has always stayed bone dry on many Buffalo and Mulberry runs. I figure the roll clinic was a pretty extreme test.Dr. Steve Yaney wrote:a cup of water would make it a "wet" hatch

Re: Crossover Kayaks...? Opinions?
I've been paddling an XP-10 for about a year. I've read posts that list complaints about the hatch leaking. This hasn't been an issue for me at all, even after a two hour pool session in which I seemed to spend more time upside down than right side up, I only had about a cup of water in the hatch. T...

Re: Winter Pool Sessions in NW Arkansas - Jones Center
Would like to say thanks for the patient instruction and help Saturday, think I've got a good idea of what I'm "supposed" to be doing. Hopefully none of you will run the other way when you see me coming next time!

Re: Winter Pool Sessions in NW Arkansas - Jones Center
Hi All,
I'm a new member and new kayak owner, are the roll sessions open to newbies such as myself, or do I need to develop some skills before being able to participate.
Thanks,
Jerry Cookson
