How was it? I would have been on this float if I was in Arkansas.

With that said, I took my dog on ...

Frog Bayou Gauge, Heads up

Just want to give everyone a heads up. The Frog Bayou Gauge is reading low, about a 1.5' - 2' low by my estimate. A little history, I floated the 7 bridges section last week after a big rain to scout it for an alternative venue for Whitewater School if the Mulberry was too high. The gauge read 3.5' ...

Might be running lower section of Clear tomorrow. It's our first choice and if it is too low we will hit Frog or Lee.

Re: Bayou DeView

Thanks Roger, Not on Facebook, thought I might find someone on here who has floated it. None the less, a group of 10 of us did it on Saturday. The gauge was right at 15' and none of us had to ever get out of our boat. Had to boof several log jams, but for me that was almost the highlight of the trip...

Bayou DeView

A group of us are heading there this weekend for our annual blackwater float trip. The gauge is reading 15.25' and it should hold around that level this weekend. I'm wondering if that is a high enough level to float Hwy 38 to Hwy 17. I have done that section once before, but it was years ago and I c...

Eagles & Icicles, Feb 4th 2017

That time of the year again folks. The Northwest Chapter is teaming up with Ozark Mountain Trading Company (OMTC) to host another Eagles & Icicles. It will be held this Saturday, Feb 4th. I have contacted Ernie at Kings River Outfitters (KRO), and he feels there will be enough water in the Kings...
