I may just do that! Let me check with the floating partner and see what is up.

I guess with the water up, we should be able to make it over "the ledge" then? We may come out there!

I have yet to do this float and I live in Benton! How sad is that? Is this a do-able float if I am not a whitewater yakker? We have 10 ft boats and I don't want to tear them up.

I would LOVE to do this! I have never been on the Arkansas River in my kayak. How is it? We have 10 foot Wilderness Systems Pamlicos.

State Parks won't let you move reservations anymore as of last year. It really kind of sucks. I wish I would have seen this sooner and I would have taken on the reservation. I have had to let some go in the past. I chalk it up to contributing to our parks system.

Hi All!! My cousin and I are thinking of floating the Cadron around Pinnacle Springs. We are both from Greenbrier and never knew the interesting history around there. Any advice?

We floated yesterday morning around 10. It was PERFECT! There were a couple of parties of tubers, but we got around them and had the river to ourselves. Clean the fish, mix up some stove top regular herb stuffing. I like to use a little less water than the box says. You want it to be mushy enough, but not too much. Place the stuffing inside the trout, wrap it in aluminum foil and place over some hot coals until the fish flakes.

WOW! Good to know. We can't do Sunday because I am doing the music at a church in NLR, but if we go on Saturday or even Monday morning, we will most definitely do it early. I hate having a perfectly good float ruined by hooligans.

I am new to this forum, but I was actually camping at Buffalo Point this weekend. We were in a pop-up in the B area. It was C-O-L-D!!!! I do want to bring float it sometime though. We just bought yaks last year so we are newbies.
