Re: ISO Tandem Canoe

I have a friend that has a 16 ft Red Old Town Camper that has never been in the water. It was purchased in 2000 and has been stored inside. I do not have a canoe very scheduled before the first of the year. I will be working toward an L4 tandem/solo course next spring. Venue most likely will be the Saint Fransis in MO.

Re: Kudos to the ACC

Hey Brad: Thanks for your comments about the ACC and the Canoe School. You and Turner Bend are an integral part of that school being a success every year. We know that the sheer size of our group presents some special challenges to both your operation and the river resource as well. The ladies in th...

Re: How many thwarts in your canoe

Beautiful Job! I have done a dozen or so sets of wooden gunwales and it is not an easy task. I am no structural expert but I think you need a couple more thwarts. One big item, in my experience, is the wood gunwales are more flexible than the plastic/aluminum version thus requiring a little more sup...

Over the past paddling season the rangers at the Cossatot have worked with us in an attempt to open the gates to that property to allow us to take out at the Deer Camp to av...
