I just so dang happy to be able to float on anything!!!

Any advice on put in and take out? Would like to camp overnight and make a good two days out of the trip since it is a little drive from NWA. Any advice would be appreciated.


Also, if anyone wants to show up, we will have the shuttle taken care of and you are welcome to join.

I want to recreate this...so if I could borrow another boat and someone's truck....

Just floated from Calico rock to Mount olive week before last. When they are generating the flow is very quick. Nice easy float, 14 miles in 5 hours with multiple stops and fishing along the way.

Passed the slide yesterday and that was amazing. Looks like a huge chunk was actually half way across the river!

I think the rapid may be just downstream of a low bluff with many holes- possibly Bee Bluff? I don't know that the rapid has a name, I couldn't find my Buffalo river books this morning. I have the Arkota and it is a great boat. You can't go wrong with it and TBC is great to work with as well as being a local company.

Hey Jan, how have you been? I think Zach and I will try to make this trip. I am off most of that week and the weekend before. If you want to float anywhere before that weekend give me a shout. Have to install a new roof rack on the truck before but that should only take a day....Hopefully....

I have a 16' canoe with a 4" rocker, do you think it will ride on top? Seems like it would not be stable with the length of the rack. The problem I am having with the truck('10 nissan frontier king cab) I have is the only solution for a rack is either permanently mounting the rack or using some...

That's not cool, go out of town for a couple of days and miss out....

Any idea how much the rack weighs? Takes two to put it on the truck?
