Re: Kings River March 7th Marble-Marshall Ford - Pictures

Shake, Did you guys run your own shuttle or did you use Ernie? I have driven to the Marble low water bridge which is what I assume you used as put-in but have never been to Marshall. Is it difficult to locate? Safe to leave a vehicle? Any info you can provide or anyone else would be greatly appreci...

Re: Lower Buffalo River Gauge Question

I really appreciate all of the info, I think we are going to plan on floating Bakers to Tyler Bend on Friday and Tyler to Gilbert on Saturday. I hope everybody gets out there and enjoys this great weather.

Re: Lower Buffalo River Gauge Question

I have made the same mistake of trying to float up around Kyle's Landing when the water was too low and I won't be making that mistake again. Thanks for the info Clif, any suggestions on a stretch I should check out on that end of the river? I should be starting pretty early on either Friday or poss...

Great site, thanks for the info. Unfortunately it looks like everything will be too low to float by Friday. Thanks again!

Lower Buffalo River Gauge Question

If I am looking at the gauge at Pruitt, what would be a good level to see if the lower half of the buffalo river would be floatable? I have done the upper half of the river a ton of times, but was hoping to do some exploring on the lower end. I just don't know if I will be dragging my canoe all the ...

Here are a few more DSCN3307.JPG DSCN3322.JPG I know the picture isn't very good, but I still get excited any time I get a picture of a bald eagle DSCN3334.JPG Had a great day out on the river the gauge read 3.90 when we launched and was just about the perfect level. We covered about 11 miles in 7 h...

Kings River March 7th Marble-Marshall Ford - Pictures

I don't know if anybody will be interested or not, but a couple of us went out and floated Marble to Marshall Ford on Sunday. I have never done this stretch and I was very impressed with the scenery. The fishing was definitely slow, but the beautiful weather Sunday more than made up for it. DSCN3300...

Wildwood, Sorry I didn't get your message until this morning. I was out of the office Thursday afternoon and all day Friday. We ended up floating Rockhouse to Trigger Gap on Saturday. Re: New Guy

King's River is one of my favorite river's to float and fish. I think we have actually changed our plans and are going to float the King's tomorrow. We are hoping we can get out there and see some bald eagles.

War Eagle Creek Saturday or Sunday

I wanted to go checkout War Eagle Creek this weekend. Not sure whether I will be going Saturday or Sunday, but would like to float 412 to 23 bridge. I haven't been able to find out what the preferred water level is for this stretch, if anybody has any info I would appreciate it.

Yeah I have been looking at the stretch from 412 to Withrow Springs. Anybody know what the best water level is to float that stretch of the river?

Re: New Guy

Great idea! I'll just tell her the next boat is for her! She's already asked for her own fishing pole for this year so maybe I can just make a new boat part of a package deal for her (and me  )
