Re: Camouflaging my kayak
Hey Edgar,
Would love to see the pictures of the camo cover on your kayak if you have had time to take some. I really enjoy your wildlife shots. Wonderful as always!!!

Re: HELP!!!
You have gotten some great advise from experienced boaters that will help you make decisions about what best suits your needs. My first boat was a recreational kayak and I enjoyed it very much but have now switched to canoes. I still use the kayak for short recreational paddles but when I want to sp...

Re: Hurricane Lakes Swamp Paddle - October 29
I very much wanted to come but have other obligations for Saturday. If anyone has not been into Hurricane before, let me tell you now you are in for a very enjoyable trip. I was part of a small group that Stan escorted in back in late summer and it was BEAUTIFUL. I know why this is one of her favori...

Re: FS: Yakima BowDown Kayak Rack
I do not have to have the bow and stern straps, just the tie down straps and one set of BowDowns. I have a 58" rack. A Mohawk solo sits on one side with Gunwale brackets and there is not enough room for a second boat(kayak) without using some type of J brackets to carry the boat at an angle. Th...

Re: Help Me Sort This Out
I just bought the last Solo 13 that Dave had in stock and I LOVE it. Nimble, lightweight and extremely well made. Dave is a pleasure to do business with and I would recommend Mohawk to anyone that asked. DeBo and Cowper also have Mohawks and they are the ones that steered me to this company. It is m...

Re: Baker Ford to Tyler Bend clean up pictures and more
I wasn't there but I can tell from the picture that it is a cottonmouth moccasin. He/she seems really relaxed despite having his full weight suspended in the snake grabbers. Debbie seems to have this effect on snakes when handling them. I have never seen one thrash when held by her. These are really...

Great pictures Al. Will be in touch next week to see if we can get a float going. Am planning to spend the night in Memphis and see the National Civil Rights Museum one day and spend another day paddling with you if we can coordinate. I will be bringing "Judy" my tandem canoe and possibly ...

Re: Solar Cooking
This looks really interesting. And, AT LAST, a way to harness the heat and sun of August to produce something to be enjoyed. My daughter home schools and I would love to snitch this idea and incorporate it into a project for for the grandbabies. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
