I've seen a lot of people fish the upper nantahala/cascades. Not to far from tn if you're in the ocoee area.

You should check out the liquid logic versa board, it would work well for standing up. It's kind of like a cross between a SOT and a stand up serf board. They look really cool and have lots of options.

Really fun tandem whitewater boat. I will try to get pictures soon. Solid red color. Eskimo has bomb proof plastic and this boat has a lot of life in it. Greatfor introducing somebody to whitewater, and amazingly fun and fast with two solid paddlers. Asking $500.
