Dagger Kingpin Icon 6.2 for sale

I have a green Dagger Kingpin Icon 6.2 for sale. It has normal whitewater wear for this age of boat. The outfitting fabric covering is worn in places but is 100% functional. I have the volume pods for the front and rear (missing one screw) and the fins for the bottom. I will include a spray skirt (s...

Re: Got a Rockport question...

I haven't fished the Ouchita myself but when I was paddling from one side of the Rockport ledge to the other yesterday, I saw two LARGE fish surface and jump (sort of scared me!). My sons also saw some large fish when they were playing around. I have no idea what they were. They were all towards the...

Re: Snow-yaking

It's a lot easier on the knees than skiing! I used my good playboat and went slidding down a steep hill into the water. It was a ton of fun and no damage to the boat. The only problem I had was when my bow went into the water, the ice at the edge of the water ricocheted up and hit me in the face mak...

Lake Norrel Acces- open or not?

Does anyone have any more info on the ability to access Lake Norrel spillway legaly? I haven't been up there since people said that "No Trespassing" signs were posted by Benton. :kayak:

Re: How Is Rockport's Wave @ 9.95 Ft?

I was there last weekend and it was OK but not great at around 10'. The regular wave and hole on surfer right is washed out but fun for beginners (i.e., my son) since there is a wave train. There was a decent hole that developed right where a large rock is usually sticking out about 50' from the sho...

Re: Narrowing the Waterproof Digital Camera Options

I have a Pentax Optio 80. Great camera and does high def (720p) video. I have taken it on many kayak trips and it fits right into my lifejacket pocket (i.e., it is small). Outdoor pics are superb and the battery has good life. Indoor pics can be a bit grainy with low light. Also, the "no-shake&...

Re: Norrell Spillway last night- thanks for the help with my son

Yeah, we had a good time. I just hated seeing him swim when I couldn't do anything to help him (I guess its the fatherly instinct!). He has done some pretty good whitewater with no problem so I thought he was ready but the creek was a new ballgame for him.

Norrell Spillway last night- thanks for the help with my son

I would just like to thank James and the other people that helped my son down the run and then after he had to bail. I thought he was skilled enough to make it down the bottom section but he needs some more time at Rockport and a creek boat next time.

Thanks!

Willie

Wavesport Project 52 for sale $250

I just bought a new kayak and don't need my old Wavesport Project 52 anymore. I'm not asking very much for it ($250) since it has some cracks around the cowling that have been partially repaired. I say partially since I used Goop to fill the cracks and a metal brace for one side of the seat brace ar...

Re: Friday

I'm planning on going with my son. We were going to park and play at the falls area but we'll do more if we can do a shuttle. We were planning on getting there around 11 - noon.

What is the lowest level for the Cossatot?

I am hoping to run the Cossatot on Friday with two of my boys. What is the lowest runnable level based on the USGS Vandervoort gauge? If we get a big plug of rain, what is the highest safe level (assuming kayakers with good boat control and rolls)?
