Re: Cost to ship a boat?????
I had my Hero shipped from somewhere up north for $70-$100. Air America or trans America or something. Its downtown off E broadway. kind of vague I know, but that's all I remember. If I can find out more, I will post. On another note, did you ever end up floating Winona all the way down to the low c...

I know Chris and worked with him on the AR river. It is amazing he lived through this!! It also scares me when people wear padd...

Re: Lake Winona spillway
A couple of my friends did it at 16" over the spill the other day in a raft. A raft wouldn't make it down the 3 mile stretch, but fun in the BIG water at the top. I did it in a Hero at about 6" over. There are some really tight spots on the 3 mile run and a strainer about half way down or ...

Re: Lake Winona spillway
Alright, heres the deal. Day 2 the water was .6 of a ft above the spillway. Day one was 18 in above. Big difference! But at the lower level, we ran 2 laps of the class III+(at bigger level) put in / first .2 miles, then took it about 4 miles down river to a low water bridge. EASY shuttle!! The run w...

you take hwy 10 to hwy 9 to Lake Winona Rd. All together about 30 min from west LR.
We may head out there around noon to check it out at a little lower level too.
