Re: Kid's kayak and paddle for sale. PRICE REDUCED!!!
Sadly, I will not be at rendezvous. Not sure which way you are coming from, but if you are swinging close to Little Rock at all, I could meet you somewhere. I can also take more pics if you want a different angle or particular close up.

Kid's kayak and paddle for sale. PRICE REDUCED!!!
Jackson mini tripper and Werner sprite paddle, both used about 6 times max, all on flat water. Asking $250 for the boat and $50 for the paddle. Both are nearly brand new. Paddle also has drip rings added. Make an offer, would love to get these out of the garage!

Re: Little Maumelle River and Caddo River
@paddlecouple, the gator I saw was a little ways up stream from the pinnacle valley bridge. Going up stream you can go left off of the main channel into a sort of backwater area that runs alongside the horse farm/soccer compound. He was on the bank across from one of the horse pastures.

Re: Myatt creek, 289 to baker's ford?
I am am actually waiting to hear back from Josh now, supposedly his neighbor floats this stretch and the one below it. Probably won't hear anything till we have boots on the ground though. I was hoping to do a little advance planning for once. But either way, we are gonna spend two days on some part...

Re: Dog PFD---recommendations?
Lol, easy there big fella. I specifically mentioned that duck dogs wear neoprene vests. But I don't think that would work paddling in warm weather, labs are already very prone to over heating. I don't think a lab that is healthy and in shape needs any kind of floatation in warm relatively calm water...

Re: Dog PFD---recommendations?
Just a thought, you might check out some of the catalogs that cater to waterfowl hunters. Lol, as an avid duck hunter I can tell you, you would never live it down if you showed up with a dog in a life jacket. Only thing most duck dogs wear is a neoprene vest in very cold weather. Not normally an is...

Re: River Gages on the Chopping Block!
For the east Arkansas gauges you might try getting word out to the duck hunting community. Thousands of people hunt the cache when it is up and I can't imagine not having a gauge going over well. Maybe contact someone at ducks unlimited, the local chapters will be having there meetings in the early ...

Osage 6/4 War Eagle 6/5 very late trip report.
Finally got on War eagle and Osage. Two really good creeks. Floated the Osage from the highway 221 bridge down to the 62 bridge on the King's. About eight miles. No gusts on the Osage that I know of, but the Kings was about 4.4. Nice run, real challenges. Was a close to perfect level for fishing. On...

Re: Good Ole Local Swimmin Holes???
Lake Sylvia is usually pretty quiet. It has a roped off swimming area, a little cave the kiddos can explore, and allows kayaks and canoes. Also has a small playground and picnic tables. Plus a bathroom. It also has a pretty good population of small bass/bream/catfish for beginning fishermen. My kids...

Re: Canoe Camping
There is also an outfitter on war eagle now. Offers canoes, shuttles, and camping. I have not floated it yet due to all the high water this spring, but have heard great things about it. Hope to hit it up next weekend.
