We went out there on tuesday and it was so nice! I saw where the bridge went out, sorry that you have to wait till July to get it back. We are heading back up there on 6/29 and hoping for another day of awesome weather.

Would you suggest that leg for kayaks?

Anyone know if the boat ramp at DeGray dam is open on lower Caddo River? ((In Caddo Valley)) Heard that it was closed 2 weeks ago due to water levels. So any info on that 2 mile stretch would br awesome.

We all had a great/safe time thanks to ya'll. We are going to do canoes next time for a company trip, and that way we will get to do the long haul!!

Its was about a 2 mile float. We went about a mile through town took a left hand turn down a dirt road. We went through a pasture and were dropped off by the river. The tube float went great. Thankyou to everyone that gave advice!! In a couple weeks we are going to canoe and can't wait! Ron at caddo river took great care of us. THe water was perfect and we had lots of fun!

If anyone knows of the location/access road to the **TUBE** PUT IN point please let me know.

Thanks LifeJacket. That makes me feel much better. I do understand what dan means though .. i whitewater raft every year in Oregon during AUGUST and that water is SUPER cold!! Ican't imagine being in that water for over 10 minutes without having a total shutdown. I know the begining of summer season...

So your saying that we can expect to get hypothemia if we go on the caddo?

I called and they do offer a shorter trip for tubes, so that makes me feel much better.

Forgot to add to last reply >>> we don't use standard rubber tubes... we use inflateable recliners and tons of sunscreen so we don't mind spending a lot of time out there = )
