Thanks!

Re: Hailstone Saturday?
Sorry we missed you - no internet in the area - RiverRatRon ended up having a good run from Boxley to Ponca even encountering a herd of elk crossing the river in front of him.

Re: Hailstone Saturday?
It does drop off quickly doesn't it? Shucks, I was hoping it was still raining there and would hold. Thanks!

Hailstone Saturday?
Anyone thinking of running the Hailstone on Saturday? RiverRatRon is looking for somebody to shuttle/ run it with and I'm busy that day. Sharon

Re: Info on Big Creek
Sorry for not being specific. I meant the one in Cleburne County. I saw it in the Ozark Whitewater book, but couldn't figure why I had never heard it mentioned before. I guess "access issues" solves that mystery.

Info on Big Creek
Was looking at possibly exploring Big Creek and wondered if anybody might be able to give a little insight into the run, the watershed, and directions.
Thanks,

Re: Salado?
I believe it took us about 5 hours including a stop for lunch and a couple hikes up to waterfalls. There were two trees which required portaging (including the one that Roger had mentioned), and one with only a very narrow chute which would likely require portaging at any lower level. Glad to hear t...

We saw it at the rest area and wondered if the owners were on the river. The bumper stickers didn't make them look like paddlers, though, more like fishing enthus...

Just a touch over 9. It had dropped less than half a stone when we finished.

Thanks, Roger!
Roger,
Thanks again for checking the level. Four of us ended up running it on Saturday and had a great time. We found the tree you mentioned as well as a couple more closer to the end that are easy enough to spot and get around. Thanks again for the heads up!
