Re: Perception Dancer

O-k all! Thank you all for pointing us in the right direction here. I have only one more question about the 12 year old and her new to her Kayak. I need to get her a decent youth paddle for this old dancer and where could I find one at a modest cost? A used one would be great if one was available so...

Re: Perception Dancer

This is all good news!!!
Thank you both very much.
However, how can / where can I obtain a newer skirt for this Kayak? The one that came with it is so stretched out and brittle that I would consider it inop.
Thanks again

Perception Dancer

Hello all. I was recently given a good condition Perception Dancer which I am considering putting my 12 year old petite daughter in. My question to the board; Is this a good Kayak to start up a young inexperienced girl in? Or should I, trade it/sell it for something else for her which would be more ...

Re: Recommendations for good river shoes

I've looked at the 5 fingers but some arch support would be helpful. I searched for the Teva Churns and looks as that might be a good choice. Thanks all.

Recommendations for good river shoes

I am in need of some recommendations for some good river shoes. I'm tired of the ole cheap shoes that are sold at the local WM/KM.

Re: Looking for recommendations - family trip in mid-July

Just 2 weeks ago we floated the upper current river from Cedargrove to Round Springs. Good float trip with very few other people, as it was the middle of the week.

Re: Spring, Eleven Point, North Fork...

I agree with the others. The Eleven Point is nice.
The tree houses look nice also.
I'm glad that I enjoy canoe camping though.

I'm praying for good health and them there rivers to rise!! :rain: .

Hope your plans work out.
I took my family on a spring river trip last year from the Dam - Many Islands. I will never take a young one down on a weekend esp Saturdays during the summer months ever ever ever again.

Re: Buffalo River question

Floated Grinders ferry to Hwy 14 this past Wed-Fri. Even with the rain on Thursday there was a good amount of dragging required.
