Today I noticed at least one budding bloom on 3 different bushes. These are in a deep valley in northern Crawford County. Drill - the gunnels are attached to the boat by drilling. Any ancillary problems by going to the core are nonexistent, not to mention that the top of the hull is open and water does not penetrate it.
