Re: 'Tot Gauge Off?

Heath and I guessed we were just below 6' after running the falls. I still was able to run a semi-traditional line at the machine but the mix in the bottom looked wild! Haven't run an old school long boat in about 3 years so I was pleasantly suprised not to contribute a roll to the video.

Re: Swift Water Rescue Training: video and what I gained fro

Cannot stay out of this one! Good points from everyone regarding SWR class. Information, education, avoidance, action - They all come into the equation. Problems happen on every class of water from easy moving streams to big water cascades. Many times we as a paddling community are helping those on ...

Re: MIKE’S UPWARD BOUND CREEKING PROGRAM

Mike and Chester, Great job on clearing Brush and Little Creeks for our exploration! Casey, Garth and I explored a high water event on Brush and the North Fork of the Ouachita. While paddling through the trees in class 2-3 isn't for everybody it was basically non-eventful and a lot of fun. Garth did...

Prophet - Sent you an email regarding finalizing Cheyenne's registration.

Clay - Looks like a "younger paddler" group is a go and we will match them up by age and skill set. May remind some of us about the youngsters passing us up on the bunny slope!

Re: Roll Help

Roger,

If I remember correctly you had all the moves for the roll. Work with the Memphis group and get ready to enjoy the Mulberry in May. Join us on some of the other rivers. Just keep an eye on the message board.

Re: Clear Creek, Oklahoma vid

Great day on a unique creek. Anyone wonder why we all like to paddle with Jim? He shows the good lines on the video and not the screwups! Major thanks to Heath and Terry for showing us the lines.

Cossatot bound

Sounds like there will be a ACC mass grouping at the Cossatot this weekend. Have heard rumors of full moon float also but with Harlan involved that could be dangerous on several levels! For sure the Ark-La-Tex group will be there with assorted antics. Dynamic duo will be styling the falls at some po...

Re: Tot Friday or Sat?

Harlan's post should clarify what I'm up against down here! Herding cats comes to mind. We've got roll practice tonight so most will only be up for a day trip. Rough estimate for arrival at the falls campground is 9:30 on Sat. (That's am - Harlan.) First lap will be Ed Bank's through the falls. Some...
