Re: Hello
Now that is a toad, 18-19 in? Do yourself a favor and head up to Crooked Creek by Yellville. I wouldnt say the scenery is A+ but the smallmouth fishing is the best in the state.

Re: Jimmy Houston sighting on crooked creek
Thats pretty cool. You know it is a good a smallmouth stream is when a fishing personality comes to fish/film. The fishing got so good one time on that stretch it got so dark we werent able to make it to the takeout, just slept on a gravel bar and waited for the sunrise.

Re: Fishing Equipment Recommendations?
In the spincast category we hammered the smallies using these trailers made by zoom. Although they are mainly supposed to be used as trailers from spinnerbaits and eakins jigs. Just use a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jighead depending on what depth you are fishing at. http://image.basspro.com/images/images2/200-00...

Re: fishing illinois bayou
I mainly float bridge to bridge up above hector but it is defiantly a good stream to float. Quite a few smallies but more kentucky and largemouth to catch than anything else.
