Re: Remmel to Rockport float tomorrow
Leave it to a dumby like myself to miss out on another great float. I was on the General Discussion board and was asking if anyone was going to do this float. I guess next time I will look before clicking huh? Maybe next Saturday or Sunday of anyone is going. We have not done this section and would ...

Re: Rockport SUN
My wife and I were wanting to float somewhere tomorrow but not familiar with part of Arkansas. We would like to meet up with someone or a group floating Remmel to Rockport for the first trip. We have a SOT (Mine and new) and a SI (Wifes) kayak. We are experienced paddlers and have done from Class I ...

Re: Law Enforcement on the Remmel Section
We all have our opinions about check points on the river. So here is mine. I do not feel the check points should be between the put in and take out. It should be at the put in. This is where they could give you the chance to make good on the laws. A check point half way down river gives the people d...

Re: WTB Drysuit / Drytop
I have a Stohlquist Dry Top Size "L" and NRS Dry Pants size "XL". These have only been used maybe 5 times. There are no snags, tears, or any damage. They are like new. I am selling them because I ripped out my shoulder boating and had to have major surgery. I am afraid to even tr...

Re: Damaged Kayak
Do you still have the piece of plastic that came out of the hole? I would recommend welding the piece back. I happened to have schooling on plastic welding. If this is a Linear Poly boat I can weld it. However no matter how good of a job is done welding it will not track as well as it did when it wa...

Re: How are the access pints on the Buffalo?
I was hoping for some access pints. I guess the access points will have to do. At Tyler's will we need to use the upper or lower access? If I were guessing I would say upper. It would not surprise me the lower washed out again.

How are the access pints on the Buffalo?
It has been way too long that my family and I have been on the water. We were wanting to do an overnighter putting on this coming Saturday. However we do live a ways away and don't have time to find out the status of access points except to call a few outfitters. Can someone tell me what Bakers Ford...

Eric it seems every time you get on the river there is something that keeps me from getting on with you. My wife being in the hospital is keeping me from going this time but before this season is out I will be on with you. I do know the season ends on the season finaleat midnight and starts again on...

Re: Buying Canoe, Need Advice
For my two cents. I have paddled with Gut It numerous times in the Ozarks and also went with him out west on 5 day trips. He and I both have Mad River Freedom 17"s and that boat will haul a lot of gear and also is a very good Class III runner. Not saying that is the boat for you because you hav...

Re: Flatwater Solo Boats?
It is fun to see how many people post about certain boats and how they enjoy them better than any other. So here goes my pick. I have paddle many and I do mean many boats. Mohawks, Bell, Buffalo, Mad River, Wenonah, Dagger, ETC.... All of them as solo. You have to as stated earlier DEMO, DEMO, DEMO....

Re: death by gps
Night navigation is very difficult. I could get close to where I needed to go by using a Lensatic compass or by using my wrist watch. The problem with both is they had to have a white light shine on them to get them to glow. So I would place them inside my fatigues in the early years or BDU's later ...

Here is a link to get a Hippo Patch.
http://www.coloradokayak.com/Hippo-Patch-2x24" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I would say it is similar to duct tape and is not welding materials.

One more thing. Microsoft Street and Trips are being designed with 3 companies in contract with each other. Microsoft, Google Earth, and Garmin.
