Re: What's the Coldest Weather you Paddled?

I don't remember exact temperatures, but there are a few days that stand out in my memory. The first one was a snowy weekend in January on the Buffalo. I had a gallon of water freeze outside my tent that weekend. The second was doing required swims at raft guide school on the Nantahala on a snowy da...

Re: whitewater kayaking and corrective eyewear

I second okieboater on the Silverfish Whistlers. I used them for 3 weeks in the Grand Canyon and subsequently on and off the river for several years now. I got the polarized brown lenses, so they're good even on a dark, rainy day. If I miss a roll, I always open my eyes and watch the end of my paddl...

I just marked all of this down to wholesale cost, plus marked lots of other stuff down 25% too...rescue knives, paddling shoes, etc. Of course, I will also have all of the boats, paddles, skirts, and helmets listed above! Re: Lots of new boats and gear in Louisiana!

It looks like I'm going to be at Canoe School next weekend with everything listed above and more. If I have room, I might bring some used boats too. Everything is being sold through my shop, so I'll be able to take credit cards. See y'all up there!

Re: FS:LL remix 79 price reduced

Would you be interested in a Pyranha Varun L? It's been mostly used for the pool and park and play. I think I took it on one 5 mile stretch of river. If you're interested, I'll check on scratches. Oh yeah...it has River Gypsies style knee blocks in it, which are pretty amazing for comfort and contro...

Re: Shoulder Injuries

After a bunch of online research, I think I'm going to put off surgery and see how it goes. It's a small tear, so I'm going to give physical therapy a shot. It was a workplace injury, so I have 3 years after my last worker's comp payment to decide. My only concern is a small tear turning into a larg...

Re: White Water Skirt

Bombergear made a cockpit seal at one time, but I didn't see it on their web site. It looks similar to the self adhesive caulking you'd buy at a hardware store though. You can also buy sheets of foam and cut strips to cover problem spots from a local dealer or companies like... http://salamanderpadd...
