Re: Dog PFD---recommendations?

Lol, as an avid duck hunter I can tell you, you would never live it down if you showed up with a dog in a life jacket. Only thing most duck dogs wear is a neoprene vest in very cold weather. Not normally an issue paddling. Never mentioned a "life jacket", merely pointed him towards someth...

Thanks to everyone involved in getting the online membership renewal set up. Just used it for the first time and it worked great. Good job!

Re: Dog PFD---recommendations?

Just a thought, you might check out some of the catalogs that cater to waterfowl hunters.

Re: weather forcast thru Feb 2011

So looking at the maps: In most of Arkansas and Misouri we're going to be warmer and wetter than average? Sounds good to me or did I misread?

Re: New Landslide?

I think South Woolum becomes North Richland Rd when it crosses the Buffalo then turns into Richland Rd when it crosses Richland. If they are accurate with the closing info, I'd say it's on the north side of the Buffalo. If I get up there this weekend I'll take a look around.

Re: Some good spring hiking on Dry Creek

Do you have the coordinates for the location of the big waterfall. Trying to figure out where it is on Dry Creek.
Thanks

Was browsing Cabelas and saw that there is a rebate on the SPOT unit.

Have to sign up for the service, but I think it elimates the purchase price.

Re: Looking for some support in Newton County

Prophet, I've got a place in Searcy county about a mile from the Newton border, but since I don't get the bill, I'm not sure if we're on Carroll or another co-op. If there was a herbicide spill within 50 ft of my well I'd be concerned, but a surface application every two to three years just doesn't ...

Re: Looking for some support in Newton County

Sorry, can't support that position at all. I think what they are doing is a standard practice to keep the power lines clear. By using the herbicides, the ROW will not become grown up enough to need manual clearing with chainsaws. Also, I'm not really sure that spraying a right of way really has any ...

Re: Alot of things to do.

On the bright side, if you can do them all at a decent level, you're qualified to go on just about any trip someone can come up with. No need to stay at home because you can't "fill in the blank"

Re: Crossing Richland

Yeah, when the water's high we usually go in thru Lurton since the other road is blocked. Basically adds about an hour each way, which is why we sometimes try Eula even when it might be to high when we get there. Since the river didn't drop any last night, I'm just going to wait a day or so.

Re: Crossing Richland

Just general info for people who sometimes cross there... the relector is near the bottom of a tree trunk on river left. If you can see it, you can cross in a truck. I've crossed at 2.4 but was just checking to see about 2.5 or a little higher. I'll be pulling a trailer with the implement on it to g...

Crossing Richland

Need to pull a bushhog to the west side of Richland tomorrow and wanted to go thru Snowball. Based on the Richland gauge, does anyone know what the height of the reflector is on the tree at that crossing?
