I use the Stohlquist Xtract PFD, and I love it. If you use the brick and like that PFD yo wont notice any difference. Have you been out west lately?

Stop by confluence kayak, it down town kinda.I think its off speer road, anyway they sell a book called colorado rivers and streams. The only book you need for the states runs. Pretty current info. I know Steve and Tom used to do some at rockport. I took one there before and I wanted to take a refresher this year, but have not seen any posted for this upcomming season. Any info out there yet???
