Unfortunately they are experiencing the worst drought in 60 years ( according to someone that lives up there) the gauge just above Akers is currently .98 ft. I was considering doing a lower section (Akers down) a few weeks ago and was told it was low but floatable from there..Welch Springs ...

I have a couple of boats; a Wenonah Vagabond (14.6 canoe) and a longer touring yak that doesn't see much use these days. I love both for their particular purposes, but I'm thinking about adding a used kayak for easy class 1-2 rivers when I don't need to haul camping gear, and shorter/more ...

Wow, I just had a big change of plans. A friend just called to ask if I would be interested in helping her drive out to New Mexico to take care of some family business. Leaving Sun. I won't make SnT, but will try to catch a run with you guys before summer's over.

I've been to the Porterfield side and the area where the WW Rescue class was taught a couple years back (downstream from the ledge as I recall), can you post or pm me with directions to the ledge boat ramp?
