The main salmon and hells canyon are both doable in October lottery season is over in mid sept and both have water that time of year I've run them both post season and they are nice that time of year

With the class iv to v concentration the south ceder drainage is definatly one of the premeir photo ops in the state. It all runs at once.

I've got the toaster mittens. Ok for riding a raft but make it difficult to pull your skirt when you really need to. Also there hard to get on and off. They make your hands useless for all but very gross motor skills.

I've had an nrs revolyution dry top for a few years now and it is wonderfull. the material is a little heavyr than some of the other brands. i've paddled a lot in the fridged spring runoff of Idaho. it keeps dry and warm. the lochsa is where the guys at nrs do a lot of paddling and r/d the water is ...

rio cut them down from the blade end and leave the handles alone. just drill the proper size hole for the keeper button on the blade. all carlile oars are is a plastic coated aluminum tube with handles glued in.

I'm 6'0 245,I paddled a gus for years and now have a jefe. both good boats for your size. I also paddle a g-ride 6.5. as for older boats a prijon samuri and a prijon rocket are good choices for some one your size.
