Re: Mar 17-31 Paddling Southern Missouri & Arkansas Rivers

Jim:
Why don't you and Marlo join us for a few days or more this year? It would be good to see you again!

Dave:
It will really be good to see you this March! (And, as of now, the streams there have been running at about three times the rate of flow compared to last year at this time!)
Be well,

Re: Niobrara River Nebraska

B: The Nio is a stream that almost always has enough water: in fact, a really big thunderstorm that dumps 5" of water on the watershed will raise the river about 5" -- it is at the (relative) top of the Oglalla Aquifer (and in the Nebraska Sandhill region), so rainfall just seeps right int...

Re: Missouri Ozarks Paddling: March 2016

Hey, folks: We've had fairly good weather (for March,) have covered a few fairly nice streams (over 160 miles of them between groups) and have so far had 30 paddlers out to play. ACC regulars louiscov, okieboater and Cat have joined us and, so far, have not had occasion to have to kill the trip lead...

Re: Missouri Ozarks Paddling: March 2016: Update

Folks:

31 paddlers are planning on attending so far , although not all at one time (thank goodness.)

Ana and I will be down to Boiling Springs this week to start checking out the accesses and river conditions (big floods in the area this winter.)

Cheers!

Re: Missouri Ozarks Paddling: March 2016

Jill: Thanks for asking (so few folks actually pay attention to skill levels.) Sounds to me as though you've accumulated the right set of skills for these streams. For a bit more info, see: http://www.iowapaddling.org/BHC/Padddler%20Skill%20Ratings.htm Let me know via email if you decide to join in ...

Dave, Luke, Diane and Crane:

Would love to get you folks up to join all of our Yankee paddlers. We'll see how the water levels and weather are doing as the time gets closer, and I'll post here to let folks know.

Thanks for considering our little enterprise!
