Re: beginner needs information
I'm 120 lbs and mine is a Perception Tribute and my fiancé is 175 and he bought a Blackwater (I think it is a Perception too but I can't remember for sure.) They go up to Class ll which suits us well right now! Head over there! It will be worth the drive! Good luck and let me know how you like them!

Race for the Cure (Paddle for the Cure) (Sat October 17)
Is it true that some of the club members paddle during the Race for the Cure? Is anybody doing it this year? I would love some info on it.

Re: beginner needs information
I don't know where "Daddy's Knees" is, but we definitely took the wrong navigational choice at a spot in the river that divides around a little island. We went to the right. We couldn't make the turn back left quick enough, and we ended up pinned against a tree. That was all she wr...

Re: beginner needs information
Most of the Cadron was wonderful, but we did have a couple of spots that were beyond our level and equipment. But we survived and had a great time. Many lessons learned that we will benefit from next time!!!

Re: beginner needs information
I'm also a beginner, and was feeling pretty confused about which boat to buy. The greatest thing I did was drive to Hot Springs and visit Ouachita Outdoor Outfitters. They broke it down for me, and cleared up my confusion in about 30 seconds. (I had been doing research online for months, and was tot...

How do I find out if Remmel Dam will be generating....
Does anybody know the website or phone number to find out if/when Remmel Dam will be releasing water for planning purposes? All I can find is historical and real-time data.
We want to kayak down to Rockport tomorrow, and want to make sure they'll be releasing water when we are there....
Thanks!

Re: Surf and Turf, Remmel to Rockport
Thanks Jim. Sounds like we can get by with just one car. We just don't really know anybody yet, and didn't want to be stuck somewhere with no way to get to our car. Floating after lunch would actually be better for us. We will plan to join y'all on your after-lunch float. Thanks for the invite! Ellen

Surf and Turf, Remmel to Rockport
Is anybody planning to paddle from Remmel Damm to Rockport tomorrow before Surf and Turf, say about noon?
We are two new recreational kayakers, and we don't want to bring 2 cars. Anybody interested in buddying up for shuttling?
Ellen

Newbie with new rec kayak needs ideas of where to start!
Just bought a recreational kayak, and it's never been wet! Please post ideas on close-by places to launch. (I'm in Little Rock) I want moving water, but no rapids yet.
I've heard about Pinnacle, but don't know the specifics, like where to put in and take out.
Thanks!
